Timorese candidates under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme are receiving hands-on training to prepare for jobs in Australia. The Australian and Timorese Governments are partnering to expand the program and boost worker readiness.
In collaboration with the GTNT Group from Darwin, participants have been developing skills in hospitality, food and beverage, and digital literacy.
Led by experienced Australian trainers, the sessions focus on practical skills such as coffee-making, customer service, email writing, and online teamwork. As participant Oldegar shared, “This training is a privilege – it’s helping us grow and prepare for the future.”
